Krishna Janmashtami Utsav (24th August 2019)

Janmashtami is a grand festival celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is an important festival particularly to the tradition of Hinduism. Dance-drama enactments of the life of Krishna according to the Bhagavata Purana  or Krishna Lila, devotional singing through the midnight when Krishna was born, fasting, a night vigil (ratri jagaran), and a festival (mahotsava) on the following day are a part of the Janmashtami celebrations.

Event started with the Swing and Worship of Lord Krishna followed with Cake cutting by President with small childrens. Motivational Speeches is given by Chief Guest and School President. Series of devotional songs, dance, skits, and mimes are performed by the students of class Nursery to 5th standard. Speeches in the life of Lord Krishna is being shared with the Junior students by the senior students from class 6th to 10th standard.

The event was concluded with breaking of  pot (Dahi-Handi) and loud cheer of “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”. School Principal has given vote of thanks to President and other dignitaries. Children were also given sweets and snacks on this happy occasion. On behalf of these children, we (Lakshya International Academy) extend our deep gratitude to the donors for their valuable support and providing every privilege and opportunity to the down-trodden and underprivileged children of this community. School President (Shri. Rampravesh Ray), Chief guests Shri Rageswar Rai, Shri Jageswar Ray, Shri. Vishal Kumar was also present in this special occasion.
